Printscreens from film poster process
These are some screenshots to show the process of making our film poster using photoshop. We began with creating text to go at the bottom of the poster, as this is a typical feature of a film poster. Next, we used our chosen image as the main image for our poster, it is large and positioned in the middle of the page, slightly to the right as the image shows the character looking down at something. By positioning the image to the left it gives the effect that there is something that the character is looking down at, this leaves the audience thinking about what it could be, thus making the film more appealing as there is a sense of the unknown as the poster does not reveal what it is he is looking down at and why. Furthermore, the poster includes the main actor's name at the top of the page, also, there is the names of the productions companies along the bottom of the poster as well as the BBFC rating of 15. Also, we have incorporated social media into the distribution of our film by putting facebook and twitter icons on the poster with links to the websites. We have used these, as our target audience are young adults aged between 15 and 24 and people of this age are mostly associated with the use of social networks and therefore using social networks in the promotion of our film is likely to draw attention from the target audience for the film.

Character profile images
These are our two images for our characters. Here you can see the evident contrast in character becasue of the difference in costume, facial expression and stance.
Photoshoot for film poster
These are some photos we took for the film poster for 'Redemption'. We decided to have a photo of me, as I am one of the main characters. We went with me standing in certain ways such as those below. We tried a variety of stances but have decided to go with one of me clenching my fists, we chose this as we believe it is a very powerful and thought-provoking image. Furthermore, we decided to have my character have his hood up, the connotations of this are 'thug' or criminal who has their hood up to hide their identity. Also, in the film trailer we have a shot of me putting my hood which symbolises the anger I have after I have found my brotehr dead, and the revenge I intend on getting.
Photoshoot for magazine front cover
These are some of the photos we took of me and josh for the magazine front cover. We are the main characters so we thought it would be appropriate to have the main image of us two. We decided to stand back to back to show the contrast in character, this can be seen through the use of costume and facial expression.
