Printscreens from film poster process
These are some screenshots to show the process of making our film poster using photoshop. We began with creating text to go at the bottom of the poster, as this is a typical feature of a film poster. Next, we used our chosen image as the main image for our poster, it is large and positioned in the middle of the page, slightly to the right as the image shows the character looking down at something. By positioning the image to the left it gives the effect that there is something that the character is looking down at, this leaves the audience thinking about what it could be, thus making the film more appealing as there is a sense of the unknown as the poster does not reveal what it is he is looking down at and why. Furthermore, the poster includes the main actor's name at the top of the page, also, there is the names of the productions companies along the bottom of the poster as well as the BBFC rating of 15. Also, we have incorporated social media into the distribution of our film by putting facebook and twitter icons on the poster with links to the websites. We have used these, as our target audience are young adults aged between 15 and 24 and people of this age are mostly associated with the use of social networks and therefore using social networks in the promotion of our film is likely to draw attention from the target audience for the film.
